Those following the two-year Bible reading plan with me will begin reading the book of Ruth tomorrow, August 8. (Link to the Two-Year Bible Reading Plan)

Ruth is a story about love. First is the love Naomi shows to her daughters-in-law, then Ruth’s devotion to Naomi as she leaves her native land of Moab to go with her aged mother-in-law back to her home in Bethlehem, and diligently begins gleaning in the fields. As it turns out, the fields belong to Boaz, who is in the position to become her Kinsman Redeemer. You will thoroughly enjoy reading the love story that follows, and eventually places Ruth in the genealogy of Jesus.
