Job
Those following the two-year Bible reading plan with me will begin reading the book of Job tomorrow, February 2. (Link to the Two-Year Bible Reading Plan Bookmarks)
Sometimes even the most righteous suffer for reasons not clear to us at the time. Job is a prime example. Bear with him as you read about how God allowed Satan to kill and destroy his property and family, how his well-meaning friends became as adversaries throwing accusation after accusation at him while Job insists on his innocence and continues to praise God.
God ultimately reveals Job’s shortcomings to him when he raises his complaints. Job repents and God again blesses him with family and possessions.
